Sony officially launched the ‘Xperia A4’ in Japan and will available from June via NTT Docomo. It is the successor of Xperia A2 which was launched exactly one year back in the month of May.
It had a 4.6-inch HD display and powered by Snapdragon 801 quad-core SoC clocked at 2.5GHz. The Xperia A4 has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage with microSD card slot (up to 128GB). There is a 20.7MP rear camera with LED flash and 2.2MP front-facing camera. As like all the Xperia devices, the Xperia A4 is also water and dust resistance with rating IP6X and IPX5/8. Xperia A4 has a bigger battery of 2600mAh compared to the 2300mAh capacity of battery found on Xperia A2.
The Xperia A2 has 4.3-inch HD display and powered by the Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and has a same resolution camera as of Xperia A4.
The devices run on Android 5.0 Lollipop based Xperia UI. Connectivity of the device includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/GLONASS, NFC and microUSB. The dimensions of the Xperia A4 are 128 x 66 x 9.1 (mm) and weighs 129 grams. It is available in different colour options including Grey, Pink, Blue and White. There is no information about pricing or the global launch of the device.
