Xiaomi Mi5 Coming In November, Snapdragon 820, 2K Display 

Rumors of The next generation flagship from Xiaomi, the Mi5 will reportedly be released in November, if reports in the Chinese media are to be believed. The device, which comes with the codename Libra, will reportedly feature a 5.3-inch 2K display panel with a pixel density of 554ppi, and most encouragingly, be powered by Qualcomm’sSnapdragon 820 SoC, which will have an octa-core processor reportedly clocked as high as 3.0 GHz. The device will also reportedly come with 4GB RAM and an option of either 16 GB or 64 GB internal storage.


The primary rear camera on the smartphone is said to come with a 16 MP sensor, while the secondary camera on the front of the device is said to be a 6 MP shooter. The battery on the upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 is said to be rated at 3,030 mAh, and the device will be running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, with Xiaomi’s proprietary MIUI laid on top. The device is also said to carry a biometric fingerprint scanner, but it isn’t yet certain if it will be one of the 2D scanners currently available in the market, or if Qualcomm will be able to get its 3D ultrasound scanner ready in time for the phone’s commercial launch.
